We believe that a great outcome stems from a clear and collaborative process. Our professional approach is defined by these key steps:
We begin with a deep collaboration to understand your vision and the unique needs of your business. This phase allows us to create a detailed design concept that professionally represents your brand.
Our team provides a transparent and detailed quote. We meticulously plan every aspect of the project, from construction timelines to material sourcing, to meet your expectations.
Our skilled team of construction experts and joiners execute the project with precision and commitment. We aim to create a seamless experience and deliver the project on time and on budget.
New & Refurbishment Projects
Ready to create a new space or begin a refurbishment? Our professional team is here to turn your vision into a reality. Contact us today to discuss your next project and discover how we can help your business thrive.
Our process is designed for clarity and efficiency. It begins with an initial consultation to understand your vision, budget, and functional needs. We then move into the design phase, where we create detailed plans and a transparent quote. Once approved, our project management team oversees all aspects of construction and installation, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery. The project concludes with a final handover and our commitment to post-completion support.
The timeline for a fit-out is highly dependent on the scope and complexity of the project. A small office refurbishment might take a few weeks, while a large-scale new space build could take several months. After our initial consultation, we will provide a detailed project schedule with key milestones and a clear completion date, so you can plan your business operations with confidence.
Yes. Navigating local regulations can be complex, and we take on this responsibility for our clients. We have extensive knowledge of Sydney’s building codes and council requirements. Our team will manage all necessary permits and approvals, including working with landlords and building management, to ensure a smooth and compliant process from start to finish.
We are committed to transparent pricing and value engineering. We work closely with you from the outset to define a budget that aligns with your vision. Our detailed quotes are comprehensive, outlining all costs upfront. In the event of unforeseen issues (like discovering asbestos or structural problems), we communicate immediately and work collaboratively to find a solution that keeps the project on track and minimises financial impact.
A “cold shell” is a bare space with only the basic building structure, which requires a complete fit-out from floor to ceiling. A “warm shell” has some pre-installed elements like ceilings, lighting, and air conditioning, making the fit-out process less extensive. We are experienced in working with both conditions and can help you determine the best approach based on your space and budget.

Luke Lonsdale
Project Manager
Luke is Deadline Commercial’s Project Manager, coordinating commercial fit outs and custom joinery projects across Sydney from the company’s Seven Hills base. With more than a decade in the shopfitting industry, he brings a rare mix of hands-on trade experience with calm, practical project leadership.
Luke began his career in 2013, completing a four-year apprenticeship in shopfitting before working as a site installer for three years. That time on the tools gave him a deep understanding of how high-quality joinery and fit outs come together on site – from the first measurement through to final handover.
Since 2020, Luke has managed projects for Deadline across office, retail, medical, hospitality, pharmacy and childcare environments. He oversees programming, site coordination and communication with clients, designers, trades and building management, always with a focus on delivering safe, tidy and operational sites with minimal disruption to trading.
Known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic, Luke takes personal pride in seeing every project finished to the standard Deadline is known for; quality craftsmanship, on time, every time. Clients appreciate his straightforward communication-style and proactive problem solving.
