Can school fitout work be completed outside of term time?
Yes. Where possible, we can plan works around school holidays and semester breaks, and, where that’s not possible, we plan installations carefully around class times to ensure minimal disruption to students and teachers during term.
Do you coordinate with subcontractors for services like air conditioning?
Yes. Our project managers coordinate relevant trades and services, including electrical and air conditioning services where they form part of the project scope.
Can a fitout be staged across multiple classrooms or buildings over time?
Yes. Larger campuses often require staged work across different areas or semesters, and we plan the program to ensure each stage builds on the last.
How do you accommodate the different needs of primary, secondary and tertiary spaces?
We design around the age group and use of each space, from lower-height joinery and clear sightlines in primary classrooms through to lecture theatre and library fitouts for universities and TAFEs.
What happens if our school's needs change after the fitout is complete?
We can plan with flexibility and future growth in mind, making it easier for classrooms and shared spaces to adapt as your needs change.

Luke Lonsdale
Project ManagerLuke is Deadline Commercial's Project Manager, coordinating commercial fit outs and custom joinery projects across Sydney from the company's Seven Hills base. With more than a decade in the shopfitting industry, he brings a rare mix of hands-on trade experience with calm, practical project leadership.
Luke began his career in 2013, completing a four-year apprenticeship in shopfitting before working as a site installer for three years. That time on the tools gave him a deep understanding of how high-quality joinery and fit outs come together on site - from the first measurement through to final handover.
Since 2020, Luke has managed projects for Deadline across office, retail, medical, hospitality, pharmacy, and childcare environments. He oversees programming, site coordination, and communication with clients, designers, trades, and building management, always with a focus on delivering safe, tidy, and operational sites with minimal disruption to trading.
Known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic, Luke takes personal pride in seeing every project finished to the standard Deadline is known for: quality craftsmanship, on time, every time. Clients appreciate his straightforward communication style and proactive problem solving.
